The Stock Market Surges Strongly

1. Stock Market Surges 

After a previous correction, the market opened slightly lower but quickly reversed course. The VN-Index closed with a gain of nearly 15 points, reaching 1,475 points. Green dominated the board with 215 gainers, including 12 stocks hitting the ceiling, while only 103 declined and none hit the floor.

The VN30 index also rose more than 20 points, closing at 1,614 points, boosted by large-cap stocks—especially banking names like CTG, TCB, SHB, and TPB (all up over 1%). The two industry leaders, VCB and BID, added 0.7% and 0.8%, respectively.

2. Capital Flows Heavily Into Financials and Real Estate

Securities stocks took the spotlight with sharp gains. VIX hit the daily limit, closing at 17,100 VND with over 4.6 million shares in buy surplus. SSI, VND, and VCI gained between 2–3.6%. HCM was the only stock in the group to move against the trend, edging down 0.4%.

Real estate stocks also heated up. VIC surged 5.2% to 117,400 VND, while VHM edged higher. Smaller-cap names like SCR, PDR, DXG, and NBB all rose sharply. LDG continued its ceiling-up streak, ending the session with no sellers remaining.

Other sectors also showed strength, such as financial services (+2.38%), real estate (+2.21%), telecommunications (+1.45%), and retail (+1.04%). On the flip side, healthcare, chemicals, and travel-entertainment sectors saw slight declines.

3. Liquidity Remains High, Foreign Investors Net Buyers

Total market trading value reached 32.857 trillion VND—slightly lower than the previous session but still high. Three stocks surpassed 1 trillion VND in liquidity: VIX (1.546 trillion), SSI (1.470 trillion), and HPG (1.187 trillion).

Foreign investors remained net buyers, purchasing 6.238 trillion VND and selling 6.000 trillion VND. Stocks most favored by foreign funds included VPB, DXG, HPG, SSI, and NVL.
