Binance Adds WAN To Monitoring Tag, Removes GPS, MBL And Four Other Tokens

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a new update to its Monitoring Tag and Seed Tag lists, effective October 9, 2025. The move is part of Binance’s ongoing effort to enhance transparency and user safety amid a highly volatile global crypto market.

According to the official statement, WAN (Wanchain) has been added to the Monitoring Tag list — a category reserved for tokens under special review that no longer fully meet Binance’s listing criteria. This designation means WAN could face potential delisting if it fails to improve in areas such as trading volume, performance, or technical compliance.

Conversely, GPS and MBL have been removed from the Monitoring Tag, signaling that both projects have regained compliance with Binance’s standards of liquidity, transparency, and reliability. This is a positive sign for investors seeking stable projects after months of market turbulence.

In addition, Binance has removed four tokens — BERA, BIO, ZK, and ZRO — from the Seed Tag list. The Seed Tag is typically applied to newly listed or early-stage projects that carry higher-than-average risk. The removal of these tags suggests that these projects have achieved a degree of stability in terms of technology or community development.

Monitoring Tag and Seed Tag – Key Risk Indicators for Investors

For traders, these two tags serve as critical warning signals about a token’s risk level:

 - Monitoring Tag: Applied to tokens with weak performance, low liquidity, or compliance concerns.

 - Seed Tag: Used for young, high-potential projects that are still developing but come with elevated risk.

Users trading tokens under these categories are required to complete a knowledge quiz every 90 days to ensure they understand the associated risks. Binance will regularly reassess each project and update or remove tags based on real-world performance.
