1. Bitcoin surpasses $121K, climbs to top 7 global assets

Bitcoin (BTC) broke above $121,000, currently trading at $121,006, marking a 0.91% increase in the past 24 hours. With this rally, BTC has surpassed Amazon to claim the 7th spot among the world’s most valuable assets by market cap.

 

2. $385M in liquidations in 24 hours

According to Coinglass, the crypto market saw $385M in liquidations over the last 24 hours. Long positions accounted for $266M, while shorts made up $120M. BTC alone faced $127M liquidated, and ETH nearly $97.9M.

 

3. Sharps Technology announces $100M stock buyback

Sharps Technology (STSS) – listed on Nasdaq and recently pivoted into Solana Digital Asset Treasury – announced a $100M stock buyback plan. The company holds 2M SOL (~$448M). Its stock currently trades at $6.52, down from nearly $16 in late August.

 

4. Yield-bearing stablecoins hit record $20B supply

The total supply of yield-bearing stablecoins (YBS) has exceeded $20B, reaching an all-time high. Over the past two months, supply rose 33% from $15B to $20B, signaling surging demand.

 

5. Lisk launches $15M venture fund

Ethereum Layer 2 project Lisk has launched the Lisk EMpower Fund, a $15M venture fund aimed at Web3 startups. The fund will prioritize projects solving real-world issues in payments, remittances, digital identity, and supply chain management in emerging markets.

 

6. WisdomTree acquires Ceres Partners in $500M deal

Crypto ETF issuer WisdomTree completed the acquisition of alternative asset manager Ceres Partners. The deal includes $275M in upfront cash and up to $225M in earn-outs, expanding WisdomTree’s reach into ETPs, digital asset custody, and tokenization markets.

 

7. ETHZilla CEO predicts ETH could reach $20K

McAndrew Rudisill, CEO of ETHZilla, forecasted that Ethereum (ETH) could climb to $20,000 in the coming years. He cited strong stablecoin growth as a key driver. ETHZilla plans to accumulate as much ETH as possible and deploy it on Layer 2 protocols for higher returns compared to traditional staking.
