Fiamma: Revolutionizing Crypto Infrastructure

Nhật Anh7/8/2025

1. What is Fiamma? A New Infrastructure Layer for the Crypto Ecosystem

Fiamma is an advanced blockchain infrastructure project utilizing Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology to verify transactions and complex computations on Bitcoin. It focuses on compatibility with BitVM2, enabling on-chain verification directly on Bitcoin — something previously considered technically difficult. This is a pivotal step in enhancing the security and scalability of crypto applications built on Bitcoin.

Fiamma functions as a Layer 2 chain developed on Cosmos SDK, designed to maximize Bitcoin’s inherent security while delivering fast transaction throughput and low operational cost. Its hybrid finality model — combining fast (soft) and hard finality — allows crypto developers to build dApps efficiently, especially in sectors that require rigorous verification like decentralized finance (DeFi).

2. The Fiamma Ecosystem: A Cross-Chain Crypto Bridge

Fiamma is more than a standalone blockchain — it is developing a comprehensive ecosystem of interoperable components. Fiamma Bridge serves as a gateway for asset transfers between Bitcoin and major blockchains like Ethereum, Solana, and other EVM-compatible networks. This enables broader integration of BTC into crypto DeFi ecosystems, breaking previous limitations.

Moreover, Fiamma provides tools like the ZKP Indexer and ZK Bridge, allowing developers to verify and sync cross-chain data securely and efficiently. These tools are especially valuable for crypto projects aiming for full decentralization. By using fraud-proof mechanisms and optimizing signature validation, ZKP verification costs are reduced by up to 99%, making the system highly cost-effective.

3. Founding Team and Fiamma’s Crypto Vision

Fiamma was co-founded by two seasoned experts with deep roots in technology and the crypto industry. Yovela Luo, formerly at Binance, Tencent, and Citi Bank, leads the strategic direction. Haiyang “Cyimon” Chen, the CTO, is a veteran engineer with experience at Huawei and is the founder of OlaVM, a project focusing on virtual machine innovation.

On December 4, 2024, Fiamma successfully raised $4 million in seed funding, with support from notable VCs like Lightspeed Action, L2IV Ventures, and Astera Ventures. With a strong financial foundation and long-term vision, Fiamma aims to become a critical infrastructure layer for future crypto applications on Bitcoin. Its seamless integration with modern developer tools and next-gen technologies like BitVM2 positions it as a transformative player in the blockchain space.
